Leuven currently is the European Capital of Innovation. The Belgian city of Leuven is an excellent example of how medium-sized cities can be just as innovative as the bigger ones, but also of how public-private sector cooperation and the co-creation of policies with citizens are conditions for a successful innovation policy.
