Information

More and more cities are looking for sustainable solutions for urban transportation. Not only to facilitate smart & efficient transport, but also to actively contribute to the green character of the city. The role cargobikes play with helping cities to be more sustainable is worth close attention. We all see cities are growing and changing, which leads to new challenges in terms of infrastructure.

Policymakers are dealing with the pressure of quality on a healthy living environment and therefore seeking for a more sustainable future of transport in line with the Climate Ágreement of Paris. We already see a lot of governmental organizations working on concrete measures to contribute to a greener character. For example; Paris is developing bikelines amongst the Seine and they are investing on the bicycle infostructure. The mindshift of governmental organizations are changing.

For example, ‘why do we still collect garbage from the city bins with a polluting van, when we also can collect it very efficiently with a sustainable cargobike?’ This is an example of a small governmental initiative that contribute to a broader goal: the green city. The role cargobikes play with helping cities to be more sustainable is worth close attention.
