Challenges and solutions for a successful EV Charging infrastructure ecosystem
Information
While the sales of battery EV and PHEVs significantly increased in 2020 in Europe and worldwide, all carmakers racing to electrify their vehicle range to meet the ambitious European CO2 emissions targets, developing the required charging infrastructures both in public and private spaces will be key to support the expansion of electric vehicles.
A forecast from Transport & Environment predicts that about 3 million charging stations will be required to fulfill the charging requirements in Europe - up from the 200 000 available today. More than 60% of all newly installed chargers are expected in the residential sector, and about a quarter at company parking areas.
What are the main challenges and hurdles when it comes to charging stations deployment, charging capacities, or power management? What’s at stake for the industry? What solutions exist on the market?
In this panel, we will be hearing the views of key e-mobility infrastructure stakeholders: Qovoltis - the smart charger, innogy eMobility Solutions - hardware and software solutions provider, AVERE - the French electric vehicle agency and DEKRA - safety and certification partner.
The conversation will touch on the major topics of smart charging, Vehicle to Grid (V2G), load management, regulations surrounding the e-mobility industry, and much more…
