Co-creation on Road Safety – Can public and private sector collaboration solve societal challenges? – Mercedes-Benz AG & Transport for London

Can the public and private sector collaborate together to solve societal challenges? For example, cities around the world are committing to Vision Zero to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe injuries. Data can be a main accelerator to reach this goal. The challenge is to get the right insights out of the right data when transform from a reactive to a proactive approach. Within a co-creation approach, TfL and Mercedes-Benz have partnered to explore a road safety tool based on data from the Mercedes customer fleet that detects high risk situations in traffic and helps to prevent potential future crashes.
